National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is a key functionary of Indian Space Research Organization Striving to realize the Indian Space Vision through Earth Observation. It is responsible for the Ground Segment of Remote Sensing Programme through satellite data acquisition, archival, processing, dissemination, Remote Sensing Applications, Training and Capacity Building. It is the sole provider of Aerial services in the civilian Sector for the country. The Organization has five Regional Centres at Bangalore, Nagpur, Kolkata, Jodhpur and Dehra Dun to address region/area specific remote sensing application needs. The Earth Station located at Shadnagar, 65 kms from Hyderabad city is being developed as a full fledged centre to carry out the entire chain of remote sensing activities. NRSC is continuously exploring the practical use of Remote Sensing for societal applications through multilevel initiatives, development of value added data services and Remote Sensing Applications.
NRSC invites applications for the following positions on temporary basis to its ongoing national projects for a maximum period of three years from the eligible candidates:

Experience in Satellite Data handling/analysis, Data Collection and Database Design for decentralized planning and natural resource management.

|
ME/M.Tech in CSE/Electronics/IT after BE/B.Tech(CSE/Electronics/IT (OR) M.Sc. in CS/Electronics/IT/ Applied Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics/Geoinformatics.

Web Application S/w development using Web Services/Programming in NET, C#, FLEX, AJAX, J2EE, Java Script, C&C++, etc. /Customized DSS development in Server GIS Environment/Data Base Programming. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience of developing web applications using ArcGIS server 10.1 and Adobe Flex.

Age Limit:
18-35 years as on 15.11.2011. SC/ST, OBC, PWD, Ex–serviceman ARE eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders on the subject.
Pay & Allowances:
Selected candidates will be offered the the pay band of `15600-39100/- with grade pay of `6600 or `5400/- as the case may be. The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be approximately `31,710/- & `38,280/. In addition HRA at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid.
Selection Process:
The qualifications prescribed in this advertisement are the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible to be called for interview. Based on the experience and details of marks furnished by the applicants, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

Candidates may visit our web–site at www.nrsc.gov.in to register their applications on–line between 20.10.2011 and 15.11.2011. Applications will be received on–line only. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an on–line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. E–mail ID of the applicant will have to be given in the application compulsorily.
The on–line application has to be invariably followed with a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer concerned, by those already in employment under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies, duly indicating the name and Reg. No. & post No. on the reverse of the NOC and the same may be sent to Administrative Officer(R&R) NRSC, Balanagar, Hyderabad-500625 within 7 working days after the last date.
Place of Posting:
Research Scientists mentioned at 1 & 3 above shall be posted at NRSC, Hyderabad. Out of 10 Research Scientists mentioned at 2 above, 5 positions are available at NRSC, Hyderabad and remaining 5 positions are one each at RRSC, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Nagpur, Dehradun & Jodhpur.

These Research Scientist positions are purely on temporary basis for a maximum period of three years for the Project duration. It may be noted that the Research Scientists positions do not carry any claim whatsoever for regular appointments in NRSC/ISRO/DOS.

Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in their applications along with a set of attested Xerox copies at the time of interview. In case any information furnished in the application is found to be wrong or false, the candidate will not be interviewed.
